  3. You, my dear, are a HUGE blessing in my life!! You and the other PW's have been such an amazing support!! Love ya!

  4. I love fall and kind of sad that it is till summer here in Florida. (I won't be saying that when it's winter there LOL)! I love sweatshirts and jeans and still being able to wear flip flops for a little longer! I also LOVE FOOTBALL! Oh and Chili! Plus all the spices of fall, like cinnamon and apples, and pumpkin! :)

  5. WEll I thought I followed you but I didn't! :) Now I do! Which is exciting because I miss your family and I love to see what is happening in your life! :)

  6. Ok a blessing in my life! That I am able to have a job that let's me stay home when I want and work when I want! I am so thankful that God placed Thirty-one in my life and I honestly can't wait for what it has in store for me and the people I will meet through it! :)

  7. Favorite fall recipe is Chili! I know it's not a dessert but I honestly could eat chili everyday! :)

  8. My Chili Recipe

1-2 LBS ground beef or turkey (I like turkey cause it's less fat and better for you)
    1 large onion chopped up
    1 green pepper chopped up
    1 PKG chili seasoning
Chili powder (as much as you like)
some salt and pepper and a dash of cinnamon
    1 can tomato
1 64 oz can tomato juice
    2 cans chili beans
I cook everything but the tomatos and juice until the meat is done. Then I add tomatos, juice Chili beans and let it cook for as long as you like. The longer the better

I top it with cheese, sour cream, fritos, onions anything you like! :) It's yummy and great for a crock pot! You can always cook a lot of the meat up and throw half in the freezer so you don't have to do that part next time you want chili! :)

    deeg131 at gmail dot com

  13. The recipe isn't my own (it's from Family Fun) but I've been using it - definitely a favorite of mine and easy to whip up!

    1/3 cup sugar
    6 egg yolks
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    A pinch of ground cloves

    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 cup light cream
    1 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup solidly packed pumpkin mash or canned pumpkin
    1/2 cup pure maple syrup

Heat the oven to 300º F. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, yolks, vanilla extract, spices, and salt. Set the mixture aside.

In a medium-size saucepan, whisk together the light and heavy creams, pumpkin, and maple syrup, then bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Do not let the mixture boil.

Remove the pan from the heat once the pumpkin mixture is hot, about 5 minutes. Add it by the ladleful to the yolk mixture, stirring continuously. Don't pour it all in at once or it will cook the yolks too quickly.

Once the mixtures are blended, divide the custard evenly among 6 standard custard cups. Pour 3/4 inch of hot water into a large, shallow casserole dish, then arrange the cups, evenly spaced, in the dish. Bake the custards, uncovered, on the center oven rack until their centers are jiggly but no longer soupy, about 45 to 50 minutes. Carefully transfer the cups to a wire rack to cool.

When the custards reach room temperature, cover the dishes individually with plastic wrap and refrigerate them for at least 6 hours. Makes 6 servings.
