I thought I would share my favorite Fall Recipe:
Pumpkin Dump Cake
1 can of Pumpkin Pie Mix (big one)
1 box of Yellow Cake Mix
1 stick of butter (cut into pats)
pecans...optional
Dump Pie mix into a 9 x 13 pan. Dump Dry cake mix on top of that. Spread butter pats on top of the cake mix. (add pecans on top if you like) Bake @ 350 for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with Whip Cream or Ice cream....SUPER YUMMY & EASY!!!

ReplyDeleteYou had me at "Giveaway"!!!!! :) (Hopefully, you've seen the movie "Jerry McGuire" and you get that weak attempt at a joke! ;) I love the cooler weather and the beautiful leaves that Football season...er, I mean Fall brings! My favorite Fall recipe is instant hot chocolate! You just open up the packet, dump it in your favorite mug, add some hot water and of course, marshmallows! Yummolicious!! I'm not a fan of pumpkin, but my family loves this easy pumpkin dip: 8oz Cool Whip, small box instant vanilla pudding, 1 can pumpkin and 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice - mix together and serve with gingersnap (their fav) or shortbread cookies. (You did say each word of a comment is an entry, right? ;)

ReplyDeleteWassail - We make it as soon as it starts getting chilly outside and keep it on the stove all season long!
My favorite fall recipe is ginger snap cookies!

ReplyDelete2/3 large can of pineapple juice
2 quarts of apple juice
2 cups of orange Juice
1 cup of lemon juice
3 whole cloves
1-2 whole cinnamon sticks
Mix all together and bring to a boil on stovetop
Lower temp. to "Lo" to keep warm...ENJOY!

ReplyDeletesitting outside in the cool mornings, FOOTBALL, watching the leaves fall, driving to Branson and seeing all the beautiful colors....oh ~ you said my favorite thing LOL well, I guess I have more than one!! hahahaha

My favorite thing about fall- my birthday!!! Oh and the leaves changing and it cooling off outside and football (not bc I like football too terribly much, but because I like having parties/social events and football never fails to provide!), uh, did I mention my birthday?, sweatshirts, sleeping with the windows open.... i LOVE fall!!!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall treat is super super easy but it really is my favorite!! It's a carmel apple! I can't wait to makes some. You just buy some apples, buy some carmel squares- melt in the microwave and dip the apples in the bowl! YUM :)

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite fall recipes is apple dumplings, a recipe I got from a friend during our time in Colorado.
ReplyDelete2 cans of crescent rolls, 8 rolls per can
2 Granny Smith apples cut in to 8 wedges each
1 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups Sprite
cinnamon
Spray the bottom of a baking dish with non-stick spray. Place one wedge of apple inside each piece of crescent roll dough and shape dough around apple. Place in pan. Mix melted butter and brown sugar and pour the mixture over the top of the apples. Pour the Sprite over the top and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Allow to stand for 10 minutes after baking to allow sauce to thicken.
Yummy with ice cream too!
